Volvo has turned a space in Dundrum Town Centre into a Scandinavian-inspired pop-up shop to showcase its new XC60 SUV. Until July 2, people in the centre can experience first-hand the look and feel of Volvo’s latest premium offering. Alongside the new XC60 T8 R Design in crystal white, the pop-up shop features Volvo’s recently launched S90 premium saloon and V40 hatchback.

Volvo Car Ireland managing director David Thomas commented: “We hope to give shoppers a truly unique and premium experience and reach a new demographic of shoppers who may not have been overly familiar with the Volvo brand and what it stands for  before.

“Customers can explore our stylish new XC60, S90 and V40 models in a relaxed, Scandinavian inspired environment, which reflects the design of our products and gives visitors a sense of the Volvo car brand.’

Don Nugent, the shopping centre’s general manager, added: “We are always striving to entertain and offer new experiences such as the hugely successful POCO pop-up and Diarmuid Gavin’s Garden of Pure Imagination. This summer promises to be an exciting one for the Dundrum shopper and we are delighted to work with Volvo to showcase the new XC60.”

Revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the new car replaces Volvo’s highly successful original XC60, which in the nine years since its launch became the bestselling premium mid-sized SUV in Europe. Nearly a million units of the XC60 have been sold globally.

The Volvo pop-up shop is located on level two of Dundrum Town Centre, opposite Karen Millen and Fields jewellers.
