Advertising agency Javelin is celebrating its 30th birthday by giving something back, in the form of three bursaries valued at €10,000 each as a leg-up for Irish startups. The advertising and marketing services being offered to the three winners are:
• Strategy & Planning: Positioning, Insight, Proposition Development.
• Graphic Design: Logo, Product Packaging, Web Design, Design for Print.
• Ideation & Creative Development: Film, Print, Broadcast, Digital.
• Digital & Social Media: Strategy, Campaign Management, Creative Execution, Campaign Reporting,
SEO & PPC Strategy and Advice.
• Media & Channel Planning: Analysis & Strategy.
The Javelin Group started out above a Leeson Street sweet shop in 1987 and has developed into a wide-spectrum agency offering advertising, media, digital and direct marketing. It was named Agency of the Year in 2015.
Javelin clients include Toyota Ireland, Irish Ferries, Aviva, British Telecom, Fallon & Byrne, Energia, Coolmore Stud, Bacardi, Lexus and Barnardos. The bursary scheme is part of a wider programme called ‘We Are 30’, which includes a documentary of the same name plus a detailed research study into what being 30 is like in Ireland now.
Managing director Joe Dobbin said: “We were once a startup with lots of potential ourselves, so this is a great way to mark a significant birthday and give something back.”
Closing date for applications for one of the bursaries is July 6, and the details are available at Javelin’s website.
