Network Ireland expects more than 250 delegates at its annual conference in Galway this Friday Sptember 14, with the theme ‘Conquer Your Summit’ being addressed by a range of national and international speakers.
The event main sponsor is KPMG.
The organisation, which promotes the personal and professional development of women, has acquired Dr Rhona Mahony of the National Maternity Hospital, Susan Steele of the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority, Izzy Keane of Izzy Wheels and Ollie Brogan of ESB International, among others, to lead its keynote sessions, panels and workshops.
One to one networking will be a constant at the event, the organisers say, giving delegates ample opportunities to engage on a one-to-one basis with business leaders, influencers and peers.
Winners from Network Ireland’s regional awards will compete for the national awards, and presidential candidate Joan Freeman will give the keynote address.
Network Ireland president Roseann Heavey said: “This conference is all about Conquering Your Summit. Every person is capable of more than they think they can and everyone is on their own journey. My hope is that people will leave inspired to take the action needed to conquer their own summit.
“From the beginning of my presidency, my theme has been to ‘Pay it Forward’. Lots of people wait until the end of their career to pass on their advice, but sometimes it’s more beneficial if it is given by those at all stages of their careers, with as many tales of failure as success. This conference will have wonderful experts on stage sharing their experience so all members can achieve their dreams and conquer their summits.”
Panel discussion will hear opinions and viewpoints from Owen Travers of AIB Corporate Finance, Sarita Johnson of Enterprise Ireland, Dave Cunningham of Priviti Group, Sandra Healy of DCU, Helen Smyth of Facebook and Roseann Heavey of Noone Casey.
There will also be practical workshops by business experts including Anne Conlon of All About Sales, Barbara Moynihan of On Your Feet, Louise McCabe of Facebook, Pauline Rodhich, Shane Craddock and Noel Davidson of Entrepreneurs Academy.
Separately, details have been released for next month’s Women’s Inspire Network (WIN) national conference at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Imelda May, Anna Daly and Samantha Kelly (aka the ‘Tweeting Goddess’) will be among those lining out with hopes of inspiring women in their work and careers. The conference takes place on October 10, from 9.30am till 5pm.
Conference organiser, Samantha Kelly, says that tackling the challenges and finding solutions, in both life and business, is the motivation behind the Women’s Inspire Network.
Targeted at existing entrepreneurs, contractors, musicians, artists, authors and anyone thinking of starting a business, the group’s full-day annual conference has a range of speakers and break-out sessions on topics from managing finances, to marketing, to the legal dimension of business.
Music star Imelda May will chat on-stage to Victoria Mary Clarke. The theme is ‘Taking your business to the next level’ with real stories of how successful women and men have already done this.
There will also be specialist speakers providing advice on maximising social media like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for business, and a host of inspirational talks on going ‘from survive to thrive’.
Tickets cost €75 each. See here.
