The Flanagan name returns to Mount Merrion, Co Dublin, this weekend when furniture retailer Flanagan Kerins opens its second outlet, in the same location where the Flanagan family traded for 35 years, the old Stella Cinema building.

For the past five years, Flanagan Kerins has been based at Southern Cross Business Park in Bray, jointly owned by Peter Flanagan and Damian Kerins. It supplies Irish and international furniture and accessories for the home.

“Damian and I are delighted to open our second store in a building that was so closely associated with my family when it traded as Flanagan’s of Mount Merrion for more than 35 years,” said Peter Flanagan.

“We now have the opportunity to stamp the Flanagan Kerins look on the building, creating a new legacy of supplying great looking quality products with prices to match every budget. And with free nationwide delivery and access through the web, customer service remains a priority.”

At 12,000 sq ft over three floors, the new Mount Merrion store will feature a product range which reflects European, Scandinavian and Asian design influences in living room, dining, bedroom and occasional furniture. Pianos, including Steinway, Yamaha, Kawai and Bechstein, plus selected antiques and home accessories will also feature, as they do in the Bray store.

With Nohbec kitchens now on offer, Flanagan Kerins is looking for offers of interest from concession holders specialising in carpets, flooring, lighting, curtains and blinds, fireplaces and other home essentials for the dedicated concession area at the Mount Merrion location.
