DHL Teams Up With Rugby World Cup 2019

Official logistics partner for Japan event

DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics provider and World Rugby have announced that DHL will be the Official Logistics Partner for Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan.

DHL was the Official Logistics Partner of Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand and Rugby World Cup 2015 in England. For the 2015 event, DHL delivered over 48 tons of team freight, 1,400 official match balls, and 20 sets of uprights to the 13 match venues, and also delivered over 400,000 tickets to more than 160 countries.

With about 350,000 employees in 220 countries and territories worldwide, DHL is part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, which had turnover of €57 billion in 2016.

Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan is the ninth edition of rugby’s showcase global event and the first in Asia. Twenty teams will play in 48 matches hosted across 12 match cities.
