Over 100 CEO and directors from indigenous and international technology companies are attending a seminar in Dublin today organised by law firm ByrneWallace and Technology Ireland.
The keynote speaker is Garry Moroney, CEO of Clavis Insight, which in 2015 raised $20m equity investment from private equity firm Accel-KKR and existing investors. ByrneWallace advised Clavis Insight on this transaction.
Moroney spoke around the event theme, ‘Smart Funding: Flexible options for funding growth in the tech sector’. His presentation was followed by a panel discussion featuring Adrian Mullett of Bank of Ireland; Julian Seymour from HBAN, Nicola McClafferty of Draper Esprit and Shane Lanigan of BMS Finance.
Darren Daly, who leads the Technology Group at ByrneWallace, commented: “The panel discussion was extremely informative and provided an extensive overview of the range of funding options available at all stages of the company life cycle.”
ByrneWallace was ranked as a leading legal adviser of venture funds raised by Irish companies during 2016 and also advised on 25% of €522m venture funding raised by Irish companies during 2015.
