Newstalk 106-108 FM has announced that TV3 newsreader and presenter Colette Fitzpatrick will join the station to present a new Sunday morning show, The Colette Fitzpatrick Show

The programme will include topical discussions, expert advice and high profile interviews. The show will feature a wide range of topics including psychology, parenting, book and TV and reviews as well as women’s health and wellbeing.

The new show comes as Newstalk editor Garret Harte altered the station’s Sunday morning schedule by moving forward its Sunday Newspapers/current affairs slot, presented by Shane Coleman, from 11am to 10am.

In the 9am slot, Fitzpatrick will be going up against Sunday Miscellany, a mainstay of the RTE Radio 1 schedule since God was a child.

Fitzpatrick anchors TV3’s daily news bulletins, The 12.30 and The 5.30, and writes a weekly column in The Herald newspaper.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Newstalk line-up,” she said. “I’ve been looking for a way to get back into radio for a couple of years, to a show where I can give women a platform to discuss issues that are important to us.”

Marks & Spencer will be sponsoring the one-hour Colette Fitzpatrick Show, which starts on August 2nd.
