Globoforce, the software technology company that employs over 170 people in Ireland, has been named Digital Technology Company of the Year at the annual Irish Software Awards.

Globoforce is a provider of cloud-based human capital management services, which provide employees with the ability to recognise and rewards the good work of colleagues.

ISA director Paul Sweetman commented: “The company has also established itself as a thought leader in employee recognition through their WorkHuman conference. Its platform is widely used by Fortune 500 companies across the world.”

Tom Morrisroe, chairman of WildTribe, serial entrepreneur and technology investor, was named ISA Person of the Year 2015. Morrisroe was founder of The Now Factory which delivered analytical services to the world’s largest telecommunications operators. The company was acquired by IBM in 2013.

Previously Morrisrose was co-founder of Arantech, where he guided the company to the number one market position in Customer Experience Management, securing key global contracts and building revenues in excess of €25 million by 2008, at which time the company was acquired by Danaher.

Asavie, a provider of next generation enterprise mobility management and machine-to-machine connectivity solutions, won the award for international growth. The company recently received the inaugural Deloitte Fast 50 New Technology Innovation Award.
